Montroy - Montserrat bike lane
Development of the work
With the aim of promoting the development of sustainable mobility models in the Valencian Community, the Directorate General for Transport, Ports and Costs has promoted the implementation of a network of itineraries that encourage the safe use of pedestrians and cyclists as non-motorised means of transport alternative to the use of private vehicles. This programme includes the construction of two pedestrian/cyclist routes in the municipalities of Montroy and Monserrat to connect both towns.
To this end, the Directorate General of Transport, Ports and Costs has commissioned the consultancy firm ARIN to manage the project: Itineraries for pedestrian and cyclist use in the municipalities of Montroy and Monserrat.
The work consists of two sections:
- Section 1, which runs parallel to the CV50 and links the town of Montroy with its cemetery by means of a pedestrian pavement, with a width varying between 2.50 m and 2.75 m, and a total length of 435 m.
- Section 2, which runs parallel to the CV405, from the start of the existing roundabout in Montroy to the Montserrat industrial estate, has a platform for segregated use for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, with a total width of 5.00m, with 2.00m for pedestrian use and 3.00m for bicycle use, and a total length of 544m.
